Privacy Policy
Lumed is a watch collection management app for iOS. This policy explains what data Lumed collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user. The short version: Lumed collects no personal data and stores everything on your device.
1. Data We Collect
Lumed collects no personal information. The app does not require an account, does not send data to any server we operate, and does not track you in any way.
All data you enter into Lumed — watch details, wear log entries, accuracy measurements, photos, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and a shared app group container accessible only by Lumed and its widget extension.
2. Network Access
Lumed connects to the internet for one purpose only:
- NTP time synchronization — Lumed queries publicly available NIST time servers (e.g.
time.apple.com,time.nist.gov) to display an accurate reference clock and calculate watch drift. No personal data is sent in these requests; they are standard, anonymous time-protocol queries.
No other outbound network connections are made by the app.
3. Photos
If you use the Accuracy Tracking feature, Lumed may request access to your camera or photo library to capture or select an image of your watch face. Photos are processed entirely on-device and are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.
Watch photos you add to your collection are stored locally in the app's data container on your device.
4. Analytics & Advertising
Lumed contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
5. Data Import
Lumed supports importing collection data from WristCheck-compatible files. Imported data is loaded directly into your local database and is never transmitted externally.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your data to any third party — because we never receive it in the first place.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
All app data lives on your device. You can delete it at any time by removing the app from your iPhone. When you delete Lumed, all associated data is permanently removed by iOS.
8. Children's Privacy
Lumed does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because the app collects no personal data at all, it poses no additional risk to younger users beyond standard App Store age guidelines.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. We will not notify users of changes via the app because no contact information is held.
